From August 1st to 4th, 2019, the “13th Five-Year” National Key R&D Program “High-efficiency Water-saving Irrigation Technology and Integrated Application in Typical Northwest Agricultural Areas”, hosted by Professor Cai Huanjie of Northwest A&F University, concluded and worked in mid-year 2019. The exchange meeting was held in Yinchuan, Ningxia. More than 70 researchers from 20 universities including the Northwest A&F University, Wuhan University, China Agricultural University, Hohai University and Sichuan University attended the meeting.
The meeting was undertaken by the Ningxia Autonomous Region Water Conservancy Science Research Institute, the sixth project of the project “Ningxia Yangshui Irrigation District High-efficiency Water-saving Irrigation Technology Research and Integration Application”. The meeting was chaired by Professor Cai Huanjie, the project leader, Ningxia Autonomous Region Water Resources Department and Ningxia Hydraulic Research Institute. The leaders attended the meeting and delivered a welcoming speech.
The project leaders of the project will report on the research objectives, research content, research progress, existing problems and suggestions. Professor Cai Huanjie said that the current progress of the project is generally smooth and the annual research plan and objectives are well completed. He hopes that each topic should carefully summarize the problems existing in the implementation of the project and improve it in future research and demonstration. Preparation for project acceptance; it is necessary to strengthen exchanges and contacts between the topics, and at the same time, the project should organize the exchanges between the internal communication and the topics, solve the existing problems, and refine the research results. In addition, the research results and products developed should be compared with the international and domestic advanced results to determine whether the technology and products are advanced, so as to find problems and seek breakthroughs in order to make further progress.
After the meeting, the project team visited the Changshantou Farm in Zhongning County, Ningxia, and the water-saving irrigation demonstration project in Hexi Town, Tongxin County, and conducted on-the-spot discussions on how to promote and apply the research results.
Three years since the implementation of the “High-efficiency Water-saving Irrigation Technology and Integrated Application in Typical Agricultural Areas in Northwest China”, the main regional agricultural and economic crops in the northwest have been studied with the regional key grain and oil crops and characteristic economic crops as the research objects, and the characteristic economic forests in the Loess Plateau in northern Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia The irrigation crops, the cash crops in Ningxia Yangshui Irrigation District, the corn and greenhouse crops in the inland rivers of Gansu, and the main crops in the southern Xinjiang oasis have integrated innovation and application of water-saving irrigation technologies, focusing on the mechanism and regulation of efficient water use in crops. The optimization of water and soil resources, the typical water-saving and high-efficiency irrigation system, the appropriate water-saving irrigation technology and its supporting technologies have achieved phased research results. Some of the topics have established experimental demonstration zones for technical assembly integration and demonstration. As of July 2019, the project has published more than 202 papers, including 104 SCI papers, authorizing more than 37 national invention patents and 145 graduate students.
Through the mid-year exchange meeting of the project, the project team conducted a comprehensive review of the progress of the project and the project, shared the good experiences and practices in the project implementation, and found the shortcomings, which laid the foundation for the subsequent implementation of the project and the completion of the expected goals. Good foundation.
