1 April. NTPC Ltd said it has started commercial production of coal from Pakri Barwadih mine in Jharkhand. Pakri Barwadih, located in Hazaribagh district, is first of the mine NTPC is developing to provide low cost coal for its power stations, replacing expensive imported coal. It will feed NTPC’s ultra mega power project in the region. The mine has an estimated mining capacity to produce 15 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of coal and was in 2010 allotted to NTPC as basket mine to meet the fuel shortfall of its power stations. NTPC was allotted Pakri Barwadih, Chatti-Bariatu, Kerandari, Dulanga, Talaipalli and Chatti-Bariatu (South), Banai, Bhalumunda and Mandakini B mines. These mines carry total geological reserves of around 7.15 billion tonnes and have a production potential of 107 million tonnes per annum of coal catering to requirements of 20,000 MW of power generation.

Root rot starts because of poor drainage; soils are full of water, and root rot diseases love continuously wet soil. It will never happen because of giving the plant too much water, only because water is applied too often.

You may alter this recipe as you like. My favorite variation is to add raisins and lightly toasted pecan pieces. Stir one cup of raisins and 3/4 cup of chopped, lightly toasted pecans into the batter. Or, you may add one small can of slightly drained crushed pineapple to the mix and bake it for an extra 10 minutes (50 to 55 minutes total).

Boom Height Control. Booms extend to 120 feet and beyond, so maintaining consistent spray height can be a challenge. “Many people assume boom height control is meant to keep the boom from hitting the ground,” Esselink says. “But it’s really for accuracy. You can control pressure and rate with a system like Hawkeye, but if your boom height is too low or high, it will undo all the good attributes the system gives you,” Esselink says. A system called the Raven AutoBoom XRT includes patent-pending radar-sensing technology that can replace existing ultrasonic devices. “The result is a cleaner reading of field conditions, ground and canopy detection, and faster sampling and updates,” Esselink says.

Along with the Borgland Dolphin, i3 has secured wellheads and conductor pipe, due to be delivered mid-July.

On the flip side, de-icing cables are very effective. When de-icing cables are properly installed and operational, ice dams won’t cause leakage. De-icing cables won’t prevent the formation of ice at the eaves, but they’ll keep enough ice melted to create drainage channels for water.

The Kind Lab, a company started by Lindsay McCormick, makes the toothpaste tablets out of natural ingredients by hand. These plant-based components have been tested in clinical trials and performed well in both cleaning and protecting teeth. The company does not include fluoride in its toothpaste, making it safe for children to use, too.

What makes many of these attic bypasses so difficult to locate is that they’re almost always buried in insulation. Finding these buried air leaks can turn into a guessing game for someone without a lot of experience digging through attics.

Both Bt and spinosad will control if you must spray. The spinosad is a little rougher on honeybees than the BT product, so I usually stay away from spraying plants with flowers when I use that product.

Documentation. The key is to integrate all of these features so applicators have a complete system that is responsive to the many variables they experience in the field. A field computer or task controller like the Raven Viper 4 or CR7 brings the technology together. Plus, it provides additional data, such as the correct rate, nozzle monitor, machine guidance, swath coverage, product applied, boom height monitor, and weather condition reader.
