The safety features which are required for smaller private houses are addressed in the International Code Council’s International Residential Code.  Beginning in 2017, most private houses are now required to have sprinkler systems in them.  The most recent editions of the International Residential Code also require that carbon monoxide detectors are to be installed in most kinds of single family houses.  However similar to the International Building Code, as of the time that I’m writing this article, the agencies which are concerned with establishing building safety standards in the governments of only a handful of countries throughout the world use the International Residential Code.

So we are looking at getting results in the quarter. As we were mentioning in the earlier calls, the challenges with this freight subsidy is relating to the original invoices for freight. So tracking this out, this is for the past few years. Tracking it out, getting it certified and then submitting to the government is taking little bit of time. That’s the only challenge we are seeing. Hopefully, in the next 3 to 6 months, the old claim should be [culminated] in our books. Then onward, it should only be the DBT claims as we get the POS acknowledgment the same month or the subsequent month that we’ll be submitting to the government.

4:10 a.m. – Police were called to Besos Kitchen and Cocktails on Main Street to assist East Greenwich Fire with a call for a fire to the exterior of the building by the front door. Firefighters said the fire started in a planter near the front door and spread to an exterior wall, setting off the overhead sprinkler. The sprinkler put out the fire before firefighters arrived. The fire marshal said he thought the fire may have been caused by a cigarette dropped into the planter.

27 March. Germany’s cabinet approved a plan that will make it easier for LNG (liquefied natural gas) project companies to invest in new LNG terminals as part of efforts to diversify the country’s sources of gas. Under the legislation, LNG companies will only pay a 10 percent share of the connection costs for LNG, giving them more scope to invest in LNG projects. At the moment, pipeline companies have to put up the initial cost of the pipelines and then recoup this over the long term via network usage fees that are part of customers gas bills. The government wants to complement gas arriving from Russia, Norway and the Netherlands with other origins to give consumers more choices, while LNG suppliers like Qatar and the United States are seeking more business. Germany also expects additional gas import volumes from the Russian Nord Stream 2 pipeline which will be under construction by the end of this year.

When purchasing tomato transplants, choose those with straight, sturdy stems about the thickness of a pencil. However, automatic sprinkler systems and CO detectors have been tested and studied extensively in a number of countries for many years, and there can be no possible doubt that quite a few lives have been saved by automatic sprinkler systems since the late nineteenth century and by CO detectors since the last years of the twentieth century.  Perhaps if the agencies which are responsible for building safety codes in national governments throughout the world opt to plan a realistic timetable that requirements regarding mandatory automatic sprinkler systems and mandatory CO detectors by installed in new buildings as well as retrofitting older buildings throughout the course of the 2020’s and the 2030’s, future tragedies will be avoided.
