Valleys can’t be vented, they have a lower slope than pitched roofs, and ice from two roof surfaces gets concentrated. Ice dams are always the worst at valleys. What happens when two valleys meet each other? The potential for ice dams goes way up. From a performance standpoint, this is a horrible design.

28 March. Australia will face a gas shortage from 2024 unless new reserves are developed, pipeline capacity is increased or eastern states start importing liquefied natural gas, the country’s energy market operator warned. The Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO)’s annual gas outlook was more dire than in June last year, when it forecast no shortage before 2030. Since then, companies have cut reserve and production estimates, AEMO said. In the near term, government pressure on three liquefied natural gas (LNG) exporters in Queensland, led by Royal Dutch Shell, Origin Energy and Santos, to boost gas supply to the domestic market has succeeded in averting potential shortfalls, AEMO said. Longer term, as gas output dwindles in the ageing Gippsland Basin fields off Victoria, which have long fed demand centres in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide, more gas will be needed from Queensland in the north or LNG will have to be imported.
A: If the plant looked good at the nursery when you bought it and then it looked bad after planting it, then it was probably planted incorrectly. Mistakes I see in planting include planting them too deeply, not watering them in thoroughly and surrounding new plants with too much surface mulch, whether that’s chips or rock.
A major reason I tell people not to dig planting holes deeply is that the soil settles when plants are watered in. When holes are dug deeply, these plants can sink. If the soil or surface mulch is kept continuously wet, then rotting of the stems and roots can occur; the plant will first yellow and then die.
The Port got a deal on the building when it made the purchase in 2004. The property had been on the market for two years when the Port bought it from then-owner Crown Beverage Packaging.
To get professional results you’ll need top-notch tools. Invest at least $10 on a quality 2- to 2½-inch sash brush to paint the door and trim. If you prefer to use a roller instead, consider those with microfiber roller sleeves, which hold more paint and provide a smoother finish than foam. Don’t skimp on drop cloths, paint tray, and sandpaper, either. To speed the process, pros also rely on handy helpers for no-mess painting, like Hyde Tools 45810 Super Guide Paint Shield & Smoothing Tool—this superior straightedge with an easy-grip handle will give you perfect edges on trim, without taping.
On the reform sites, direct income support schemes introduced by various state governments and the central government is expected to improve the cash supplies in the market. Further, minimum support price announced during the years had been fixed with an objective to provide minimum 50% returns over the cost of production, though the procurement mechanisms are yet to be firmed up.
The minimum buffer zones are specified on product labels and cannot be reduced unless using low drift technology or reducing pesticide rates.
An application of a starter fertilizer at transplanting will help tomato plants grow faster and flower sooner. Starter solutions are water-soluble fertilizers high in phosphorus. Upon setting plants in the garden, apply a liquid starter solution to each transplant at the rate of one cup per plant so that the root ball is completely saturated. Be sure to follow label directions, because leaf burning and plant death can result from excessive fertilization application.
The Permian and other U.S. shale basins produce light sweet crude, while the Gulf Coast refineries were built for heavy crudes, like those from Saudi Arabia, Venezuela and Mexico. With Venezuela under sanctions, there is less available heavy crude, but analysts say so far the refineries are able to find enough but at a higher price differential.
