How to use the building itself has been tricky, Gerola said. Inside the warehouse was long cluttered with legacy pieces from its past life. Pipes, overhead lights and blowers built for work stations from the cannery were left.

There are a number of reasons why automatic sprinklers are not installed in all high rise apartment, hotel and office towers throughout the world.  Designing, installing as well as maintaining a sprinkler system in a building is very expensive, so many property owners and management companies will not opt to install them unless they’re required to do so.  The International Code Council updates the International Building Code every three years, but at the time that I’m writing this article, the International Building Code is used in only 22 of the world’s 206 countries.  

The manufacturing capacity standpoint, one of the reasons that we’re building out another line in Italy is, given our expected size in volumes across the next four years to six years for these European customers, we’re also seeing opportunities for these tanks on other vehicles in India in particular. So with respect to the MOU we signed with IOCL, there’s also LNG opportunity for over-the-road trucks for some of the larger trucking suppliers that are in India, and we’re starting to see interest there. So, the capacity build-out this year will be critical for the next — the next period of time, given the long-term agreements that we’ve executed.

Removing snow from the eaves is an effective way to prevent ice dams, but it won’t work 100% of the time. I have personally inspected several houses with ice dams forming right where the snow stopped being removed.  This is not typical, but it can happen during especially cold, snowy winters, like the ones we had about a decade ago. And perhaps this winter. When this happens, people start to get depressed and wonder why they live in Minnesota.

The Narendra Modi government has raised India’s coal production by over 144 million tonnes (mt) in the five years it has been in power, overshooting by 5 percent the 138 mt added to the country’s output in the 10 years of UPA rule between 2004 and 2014. Production by Coal India Ltd (CIL), the state-run miner accounting for nearly 90 percent of domestic supplies, stood at a little over 462 mt when the Modi government took over in May 2014. Five years since then, production by the country’s largest coal miner stands at 607mt in 2018-19, coal ministry data shows. In contrast, CIL’s production stood at 324 mt in 2004-05 when the UPA-1 government came to power and rose to 404 mt by 2008-09, indicating an addition of 80 mt in the five-year period. In the subsequent five years, the UPA-2 government added 79 mt to take the total production to 607 mt. Data shows coal offtake too largely keeping pace with production, indicating improved evacuation and transportation due to greater synergy between the coal and railway ministries. Quick decisions and clearances for mine expansions have also contributed to the sharp rise in production.

Some of the insects that can cause damage to tomatoes are aphids, cabbage looper, Colorado potato beetle, flea beetles, hornworms, stinkbugs, tomato fruitworm and the variegated cutworm. Ripe tomatoes can be stored for one to two weeks if held at 50 to 55 degrees Fahrenheit. The kitchen counter is typically a good place to store ripe tomatoes. It is not a good idea to store tomatoes in a refrigerator since cold temperatures will cause tomatoes to lose their flavor and turn mushy.

This applies water using sprinklers of one form or another, offering completely coverage of larger areas. This method works well for direct seeded crops, when uniform moisture across an entire bed or field is required. It can also have a cooling effect, which can be advantageous in the heat of summer. It does typically require higher pressure and flow rates, meaning it may not be possible in all applications. Overhead irrigation is also affected more by wind and has a higher rate of loss due to evaporation and application in non-target areas. In some instances, excessive leaf wetness can lead to disease outbreaks, so drip may be favored. Examples include metal or PVC hand lines (solid set), portable sprinkler lines and water reels (traveling guns).
